Research project

One important mechanism for food preservation is the production of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs). The methods currently available for screening, identification and characterization of AMP producing strains are laborious, time- and reagent-consuming. Therefore, microfluidic cultivation system could lead to a faster determination of AMP producing strains. Goal: Development of a dynamic microfluidic platform for a faster exploration of optimal cultivation and production conditions of AMP producing strains, concurrently minimizing reagent consumption.
