Research project
Analysis and control of expression heterogeneity of microbial gene circuits on a single-cell level
The project aims to analyse and control the intricate relationship between growth behavior and gene expression in microbial populations on a single-cell level. It seeks to unveil the underlying mechanism governing microbial development and proliferation by exploring their correlation and trade-offs. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding how environmental changes affect gene expression and microbial growth dynamics in order to devise strategies to control gene expression in biotechnological production processes.
